Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of Bill Belichick, the 73-year-old head football coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, shut down a question during Belichick’s “CBS Sunday Morning” interview about how the two met.

After “CBS Sunday Morning” co-host Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick how he met Hudson, Hudson, who was present at the interview but sitting off to the side, said, “We’re not talking about this.”

Dokoupil noted in the segment, which aired Sunday, that Hudson was a “constant presence” during the interview, but Belichick didn’t say much about her. He did say, however, he isn’t worried about people being fascinated with the relationship.

“Never been too worried about what everybody else thinks,” Belichick said. “Just try to do what I feel like is best for me and what’s right.”

Belichick, who was the head coach for the New England Patriots for more than 20 years, and holds the record for most Super Bowl wins as a head coach, was promoting his new book, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,” on Sunday’s episode. In the acknowledgements section, he refers to Hudson as his “creative muse,” but leaves out any mention of Robert Kraft, the CEO of the Patriots. Kraft has said he fired Belichick in 2024, but Belichick remains they separated mutually.

Belichick said there’s no mention of Kraft because the book is about Belichick’s “life lessons and football.”

“It’s really more about the ones I experienced directly,” Belichick said.

The former head coach was also asked about the reaction to the Instagram photos of him and Hudson, where he is dressed as a fisherman and she as a mermaid.

“I’m on some of those social media platforms, but I honestly don’t follow them,” Belichick said.

TMZ reported last year that Belichick and Hudson met on a flight in 2021 and then started dating a few years later. Earlier this year, it was reported that Belichick wanted Hudson copied on certain emails. Through a public records request, The Athletic found that Hudson gave her input on social media posts, including the hiring of Steve Belichick, Bill Belichick’s son, as the defensive coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hudson reportedly wrote that Steve should be promoted as his own entity to shut down accusations of nepotism.
